Make sure your visitors know where to find what they need, and of course, make it simple for them to get back where they started. Writing a headline to reach out to multiple audiences may seem like a smart move but only if it is not at the cost of optimisation. Looking at statistics behind applicable keywords will reveal traffic rates and competition levels, helping you better understand the terms and topics that most interest your prospects. Focus on keywords that have higher search volume but don’t neglect long tail keywords. If optimized right, you can get more traffic from keywords with less search volume.

Search engines find it harder to find and include pages in their results that aren’t linked to either internally (from other pages of the same website) or externally (from other websites). It may not be a good idea to link to the website from footers or sidebars. Links from a diverse range of websites are good, as too many links from the same domain can be seen as spammy. Keep a list of keywords that bring traffic from organic search queries to your site. Study the organic search traffic in detail once a month, and analyze which keywords were responsible for the traffic. Your brand keywords will normally be responsible for most of it.
