In the search marketing field, the pages the engines return to fulfill a query are referred to as search engine results pages (SERPs). User experience improves with original content, quick page loading, pages that fulfill their promise and easy site navigation. Authority enhances a site’s longevity, and the quality of its backlinks plays a major role in this. If you are linking to good sites, and they are linking to you, then you gain authority. Authority sites also get indexed quicker and deeper. The search engines may not apply the entirety of a domain’s trust and link juice weight to subdomains. This is largely due to the fact that a subdomain could be under the control of a different party, and therefore in the search engine’s eyes it needs to be separately evaluated. I do not think Google title and H1 tags need to exactly be the same. They need to serve the same objective not to confuse the audience of that website, but they need not be identical.
Do an audit of your existing site
.The concept of searcher’s intent is no new. We have seen the focus shifting from SEO to understanding searcher’s intent to provide better user experience. After the release of Google Panda and Google Penguin update, SEOs have started focussing on user experience rather solely on Search Engines. Arguably, one of the
most crucial aspects of on-page SEO is tags. Whether it’s title tags, header tags, meta tags or blog post tags, they have been demonstrated to increase traffic and boost engagement. The convergence of SEO and content has been a driving force in marketing for the past few years. Google, the top search engine--and the one to optimize for--handles more than 50 percent of search traffic and utilizes more than 100 algorithms to track and manage HTML content ("on-page factors"), external profiles ("off-page factors"), link architectures, popularity and reputation, as well as PageRank calculation (a complex site voting system) and web bots.
If nobody has heard of your brand or company name (and it’s not part of the important keyword phrases) put it at the end of the title tag. For some businesses a
point in the right direction is all that is needed, for others that have had an audit carried out they may just need keeping on-track. Dependant on your requirements this can range from analysis of your site and advice given over the telephone to a visit to your premises and coaching given directly to your in-house team. Your SEO strategy might include links to other websites or pages within your own website. Sometimes pages are no longer available and content is permanently removed from a website. When that happens, website visitors land on a 404 error page. Double-check the links on your website to ensure pages haven’t been taken down without your knowledge. Another tip is to make sure you do your research and examine which terms to target before you set out.
Keep the length of your post in mind
But all too often, when we want to improve our site SEO, we fall prey to “quick-fixes”, just as we do when we’re enticed by fad diets. Contrary to popular belief, social media doesn't have a direct relationship with your search rankings. However, it can have an indirect bearing on the success of your SEO campaign. Blogging is a great way to stay up to date while
easily generating new, relevant content. Blogging
regularly (ideally once a week at a minimum) can have
significant implications for search engine optimization,
since each new blog entry represents a new web page. Gaz Hall, from SEO Hull
, had the following to say: "Content creation and distribution is essential for SEO. Content is about much more than what's on your website. It's necessary to build your online real estate and create content that will improve visibility across the web. An SEO campaign without content is severely limited. "
Google might discount irrelevant links
SEO that works will have to shift away from mechanical tactics and numbers-driven strategies that ignore quality and rely on thin content created by non-professionals who are more concerned with keywords than value. Although search engines can
read text, they can’t read an image. That’s where “alt tags”, or “alternative text”, comes in. Share your good posts. Educate those in your circle. Solve their problem and encourage them to leave a comment on your campaign. The increasing dominance of visual content online has brought with it new opportunities for increasing a site’s search traffic by optimizing videos and images.
