It doesn’t take hundreds to see the needle move, especially with Google’s ever-improving ability to detect low quality and manipulative links. Links are integral for connecting each piece of content, ultimately leading to a potential sale. Keyword-based titles help establish page theme and direction for your keywords. Keyword stuffing, hiding keywords in a very small font or a color that blends with the background, and paying for incoming links are all tactics that Google considers to be spam, and your website’s search traffic will be negatively affected if you’re caught doing any of them.

Aim to be in the top 3 positions, not just in the first page

Once visitors are on your site, an important goal is to keep them on your site. You don’t want your visitors immediately bouncing back to Google once they have read something on your site. The structure of your URL can affect both your page’s ranking, but also the user experience. Term weighting refers to the importance of a particular search term to the query. The idea is to weight particular terms more heavily than others to produce superior search results. When determining the value of a keyword topic it’s important to understand what it will take to drive traffic for that keyword.

Leverage the power of social media and watch your rankings soar!

A lot of people and businesses will pour money into a professional website only to find out that visitors won’t magically begin appearing on their site. Cloaking is when you present different content or URLs to your visitors than you do to the search engines. Along those lines, a “sneaky” redirect is when site owners “embed a link in JavaScript that redirects the user to a different page with the intent to show the user a different page than the search engine sees… Linking to authority sites helps send trust signals to Google. The link relevancy is important and should be done in a proper manner. Instead of Internet-based churn and burn we’ll be focusing on building equity in the Internet. So if you see some highly-paid SEO consultant telling you to use software and spun content to generate links, or when you see some blackhatter beating the system, just know that it’s not worth it. We’re going to build authority and get traffic fast, but we’re going to do it in a way that doesn’t disappear or cripple your site in the future.

Getting websites listed on search engines

The anchor text section clearly shows what text the links pointing to a website has. This is an opportunity to take a look and make sure that the website does not have a spammy anchor text profile. Search is very, very popular. Growing strong at nearly 20% a year, it reaches nearly every online American, and billions of people around the world. Cramming popular search terms into your blog isn’t enough anymore, businesses need to spend time creating meaningful copy. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: " SEO’s need to have the skill and experience to help the client develop a social media strategy, deliver training and support, create policies and processes and ensure their clients up-skill accordingly so that social media contributes to the wider commercial objectives of the client not just the SEO objectives of the agency."

Keywords vs. Topics vs. Relationships

SEO isn’t magic or voodoo. I know some SEO consultants will make you believe they possess magical powers and only they can optimize your website, but don’t listen to them. SEO metrics give you an indication of the overall competitiveness of a niche. When your competitors have a high DR score they are likely to have been around for a while and acquired a solid backlink profile. It's not actually that difficult to get on page 1 of Google in a search (but that depends on the search!) You need to know your market and you need to have a good understanding of SEO and how to use keywords. You also need some time, I'm not selling magic online marketing wands - if you know someone who is, please hook me up! Humans are lazy creatures (That is probably the reason the ready-to-make food sell so much). They don’t have the patience to wait too long for anything. A faster loading website gives the user an amazing experience, which tempts him to come back again to visit your website. It acts like bait to them.
